The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has released the preliminary report of the 60th Executive Board meeting (CE-60) for review. The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has appointed five representatives from Canada, Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru to its new Indigenous Peoples Advisory Committee (IPAC). The selection follows a call for candidates open from February 5 to March 19, 2025, which received 14 applications from across the Americas. The selected members were chosen for their ability to integrate indigenous and western knowledge systems to address global environmental change.

The Executive Director of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has announced the availability of official documentation and registration for CoP-32 and CE-57 on the IAI website, in accordance with Article 17 of the Conference of the Parties Regulations.

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has notified the Green Climate Fund of a change in its co-NDA focal points, nominating the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry with responsibility for the Environment and the Debt Manager of the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Governance as the authorized signatories for legally binding documents.

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has received nominations for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and Science Policy Committee (SPAC). For the SAC, nominations were received from Argentina (Pedro Laterra) and Chile (Laura Ramajo), while no nominations were received from IAI Associates. For the SPAC, nominations were received from Ecuador (Inty Arcos), Colombia (Gilma Mantilla), and Brazil (Carlos Joly). Because the number of nominees equals the number of vacancies, parties may accept all qualified candidates. Additionally, an ad-hoc committee will be established on 21 June 2023 during CoP-31 to evaluate candidates and recommend which SAC candidate should fill the alternate member vacancy.

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has issued a notification regarding the election of its Executive Director. According to Article 86 of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) Regulations, Parties must nominate candidates 45 days prior to the election. The selection process and recommendations will be presented by the Chair of the Selection Committee during an extraordinary CoP meeting on April 18, 2023.

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is providing financial assistance for members of the Executive Council, the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC), and national representatives from low- and middle-income Parties to attend the CE-55 and CoP-31 meetings in Panama City from June 20 to 22, 2023. Financial support covers airfare, meals, lodging, and per diems, and is funded by resources external to the IAI's operating and program budgets. Eligible participants must register and contact the IAI by April 30, 2023, for financial support, and submit accreditation credentials by May 20, 2023.

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is forming a committee to recruit a new Executive Director, as the current term ends on 31 May 2023. Interested Parties must apply by 9 September 2022. The committee will review nominations, interview candidates, and provide recommendations to the Conference of the Parties during an extraordinary meeting tentatively scheduled for February 2023.

The IAI Directorate has released draft reports for CoP-29 and EC-51 for participant review. CoP-29 representatives must submit comments by 12 September 2021, while EC-51 representatives are requested to provide feedback preferably 90 days before the 30th Conference of the Parties.

Accredited Parties are invited to vote for two candidates via email by 19 August 2020, while other SAC and SPAC elections will be conducted during the virtual CoP-28 on the same date.

The notification outlines the composition of the SAC, the specific vacancies arising from the end of terms for members from Mexico, Brazil, and Ecuador, and the resignation of a member from Brazil. The Executive Director of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has announced the availability of provisional reports for CoP-26, CE-45, and CE-46 on the IAI website. Participants of CoP-26 are requested to submit observations by September 7, 2018, per Article 85 of the Conference of the Parties Regulations. Representatives of CE-45 and CE-46 are asked to provide comments as soon as possible, preferably 90 days before the 27th Conference of the Parties. Additionally, reports from a joint meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (June 18, 2018) and the 2nd Science and Policy Workshop (June 19, 2018) have been made available.

The Ministry of Economy and International Cooperation of Sao Tome and Principe has appointed Mr. Fausto Policarpo Abreu das Neves as the National Focal Point for the Green Climate Fund, replacing Mr. Eugerio de Almeida Moniz. The government also requested assistance to establish a National Designated Authority and develop a strategic framework for accessing GCF finance.

The President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) has designated Ms. Sihna N. Lawrence, the Secretary of Finance & Administration, as the new National Designated Authority (NDA) for the Green Climate Fund, replacing Mr. Kensley K. Ikosia. The document acknowledges a $300,000 GCF Readiness & Support Grant intended to strengthen the FSM's capacity to access GCF programs and resources, noting that FSM is the first among Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to receive such an initiation grant.
