The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is forming a committee to select a new Executive Director by 31 May 2023, inviting member Parties to join the selection process by 9 September 2022.

• The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is initiating the recruitment process for a new Executive Director because the current director's second term expires on 31 May 2023, and the Agreement establishing the IAI prohibits more than two terms.
• A Committee for the Selection of the New IAI Executive Director is being formed, consisting of representatives from the Science Advisory Committee, the Science-Policy Committee, and interested Parties who must apply by 9 September 2022.
• The selection process involves the Committee reviewing applications from candidates nominated by IAI Focal Points, conducting interviews, and providing recommendations to the Parties during an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties, which is tentatively planned for February 2023.
