NOTIFICATION

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is forming a committee to recruit a new Executive Director, as the current term ends on 31 May 2023. Interested Parties must apply by 9 September 2022. The committee will review nominations, interview candidates, and provide recommendations to the Conference of the Parties during an extraordinary meeting tentatively scheduled for February 2023.

• The current Executive Director of the IAI will finish their second term on 31 May 2023 and cannot be renewed according to the Agreement establishing the Institute.
• The selection process for the new Executive Director involves a committee composed of representatives from the Science Advisory Committee, the Science-Policy Committee, and interested Parties who apply by 9 September 2022.
• The selection committee is tasked with reviewing application materials from nominations by IAI Focal Points, interviewing a small group of candidates, and providing recommendations to the Parties for a meeting tentatively set for February 2023.
