This report details the achievements of the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) from 2018 to 2021, focusing on its 'knowledge-into-action' services. The program shifted leadership to an alliance of non-profit organisations based in the global South to provide tailored climate knowledge and support for policy design and implementation in developing countries.

This policy brief examines the implementation of gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) in Nepal, highlighting the gap between national mandates and local execution. It argues that integrating gender-responsive budgeting with climate budget codes is essential to enhance the adaptive capacity of women, particularly in the agrarian sector, and recommends capacity building for local leaders and improved monitoring of expenditure impacts.

This case study examines a climate-smart agriculture initiative in Nepal led by Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD). The project focused on implementing the government's Chief Minister’s Environment Friendly Model Agriculture Village Programme (CMEFMAVP) in Gandaki province, emphasizing gender-responsive strategies and the adoption of 'women-friendly' tools to overcome barriers to climate resilience among rural farmers.
