The Community Action Plan (CAP) for Nar Myittar village and the Wetlar Inn wetland in Myanmar's Upper Chindwin Basin aims to conserve a biodiversity-rich wetland ecosystem while providing alternative livelihoods to reduce anthropogenic pressure. Developed by the Stockholm Environment Institute and partners, the plan focuses on habitat conservation, sustainable economic activities such as pig and fish farming, and community-led governance through Village Working Committees.

The Community Action Plan (CAP) for Hman Pin village and Hman Pin inn, developed by the Stockholm Environment Institute, aims to conserve a biodiversity-rich wetland ecosystem in Myanmar's Upper Chindwin Basin. The plan focuses on maintaining healthy habitats, reducing anthropogenic pressure through alternative livelihoods, and establishing a community-based governance framework involving Village Working Committees (VWC).

The Community Action Plan (CAP) for Maing Naung village focuses on the conservation of the Naung Taw and Naung Loam wetlands in Myanmar's Upper Chindwin Basin. The plan aims to protect biodiversity, including endangered fish and turtle species, by implementing community-based governance, restricting unsustainable practices, and providing alternative livelihoods such as pig farming and groundnut cultivation to reduce anthropogenic pressure on the ecosystem.

This fact sheet describes a project led by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) from October 2020 to September 2023, funded by the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs/the Darwin Initiative. The project aims to protect and restore Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in Myanmar's Upper Chindwin Basin through integrated land and water management practices and the development of Community Action Plans (CAP) to secure sustainable livelihoods.
