This report by RMI evaluates the evolution of mobility ecosystems in China, India, and the United States, focusing on the intersection of vehicle electrification, shared mobility services, and autonomous vehicle (AV) technology. It provides recommendations on policy, infrastructure, and behavioral shifts needed to ensure a sustainable and equitable transition to future mobility.

This case study describes a partnership between the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the City of Austin, and Uber to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) within transportation network companies (TNCs). The initiative focused on understanding driver barriers through focus groups and implementing awareness campaigns to transition high-mileage drivers to zero-emission vehicles.

This research paper summarizes a series of workshops hosted by the WRI Ross Center's Urban Mobility team between August and October 2023. The workshops, held in Bogotá, Mexico City, and Curitiba, explored how shared mobility tools such as bike sharing and ride-hailing can be integrated into sustainable transport ecosystems to support decarbonization and efficiency in Latin American cities.
