This report describes a project funded by the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) and implemented by Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) to scale up climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in Nepal. The project focused on three agro-ecological zones—the Terai, mid-hills, and high hills—to identify and pilot technologies that increase productivity, build resilience to climate variability, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, with a specific emphasis on the needs of women and poor farmers.

This report, published by the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (iai) and Latinoamérica21, examines the multifaceted impacts of climate change across Latin America and the Caribbean. It highlights the vulnerability of rural women, the disruption of education by extreme weather, and the drivers of climate-induced migration. The document advocates for a transition toward transdisciplinary science and participatory governance, particularly in water management and public health, to address the socio-ecological crises of the Anthropocene.

This case study describes the application of the Community-based Risk Screening Tool – Adaptation and Livelihoods (CRiSTAL) and CARE's Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (CVCA) in the municipality of Santa Teresa and other areas of the Peruvian Andes. Implemented by CARE Peru as part of the Adaptation to the Impact of Rapid Glacier Retreat in the Tropical Andes Project (PRAA), these tools helped 14 communities identify and implement climate-resilient development measures tailored to local perceptions of risk.
