Situation Report: Zimbabwe, Reaping the Harvest?

Following independence in 1980, Zimbabwe's land distribution was highly unbalanced, with a small minority of white commercial farmers controlling the most productive land while the majority of the black population lived on poorer soil in lower rainfall areas.
