COP26 Resilience Hub Synthesis Report

The COP26 Resilience Hub Synthesis Report outlines key messages and future directions for climate adaptation and resilience, emphasizing the need for locally led action, diversified finance, and the integration of nature-based solutions. High-quality NbS must be implemented with respect for the rights and knowledge of Indigenous peoples and local communities, avoiding a focus on only one ecosystem type.
• Equitable adaptation and resilience require that women, youth, disabled, displaced, and Indigenous peoples are central to the design, decision-making, and implementation processes.
• Transformative resilience requires bridging the gap between knowledge and implementation through knowledge brokering and the advancement of measurement and learning, including the use of the Race to Resilience Metrics Framework and Sustainable Asset Valuation (SAVi).
