Call for Action on Adaptation and Resilience

The Global Resilience Partnership's 'Call for Action on Adaptation and Resilience' is a collaborative effort led by Egypt and the United Kingdom, supported by a coalition of partners and the UNDP, to advance climate adaptation and resilience through specific global initiatives.

• As of 17 October 2019, the Call for Action on Adaptation and Resilience has received endorsement from 86 organisations and institutions and 117 countries.
• The call for action was developed by co-leads Egypt and the United Kingdom, with support from the United Nations Development Programme and coalition partners including Bangladesh, Malawi, the Netherlands, and St Lucia.
• The call is based on commitments to initiatives profiled at the UN Secretary General's Climate Action Summit, which include the InsuResilience Global Partnership, the Coalition for Climate Resilient Investment (CCRI), the LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE AR), the Resilience and Adaptation strand Resilient livelihoods and landscapes, and the Global Commission for Adaptation Action Track on Agriculture and Food Security.
