ASSENTAMENTOS RURAIS E DESMATAMENTO EM PEQUENA ESCALA

This executive summary describes a study by the Núcleo de Avaliação de Políticas Climáticas (NAPC/CPI) and the INPUT project regarding the impact of rural settlements on deforestation in the Amazon. • While large-scale deforestation decreased by 80% between 2004 and 2014 due to the DETERS DETERSS DETER satellite monitoring system, there was a corresponding increase in small-scale deforestation during the same period, which is more difficult to identify.
