The N4 toll road is a 30-year, $466 million infrastructure PPP connecting Witbank, South Africa, to Maputo, Mozambique. While traffic volumes have proven sufficient to sustain the project, the private partner, Trans African Concessions, faced significant political instability in South Africa's Mpumalanga province, bureaucratic delays in environmental authorizations, and public opposition to toll fees. To mitigate these, the company implemented tiered pricing based on national wealth disparities, conducted information campaigns, and lobbied government officials. Current efforts include the planned development of a $20 million one-stop border facility at Komatipoort/Ressano Garcia to reduce cargo congestion.

GreenCape has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a full conference package to support a project for the German International Climate Initiative (JUST SA). The package includes venue hire, catering, accommodation, and a recreational activity for 30 delegates in the Kruger Lowveld region of Mpumalanga from 21 to 25 May 2024.
