This research paper compares the socio-economic profiles and disaster coping mechanisms of low-income persons in the agriculture and tourism sectors across the Caribbean (Belize, Grenada, Jamaica, and St. Lucia) and the South West Indian Ocean (Mauritius and the Seychelles). The study evaluates the demand for microinsurance as a tool to reduce vulnerability to extreme weather events.

The York Green Neighbourhood Challenge was a community engagement project conducted from May 2009 to September 2010 in the City of York. Funded by the Without Walls Partnership Local Area Agreement (LAA) Delivery Fund, the initiative aimed to reduce household carbon emissions, raise awareness of low-carbon lifestyles, and foster community cohesion using a targeted social marketing approach.

The Alternative Service Delivery Unit (ASDU), implemented by GreenCape, is seeking technical partners to provide sustainable off-grid energy services for approximately 300 homes in the Nomzamo Agricultural Village. The project, starting in February 2024, follows a year of social mobilisation and data collection to identify the community's specific energy needs and financial capacity.
