The Local2030 Coalition for the Decade of Action is a UN-led platform designed to accelerate the localization of the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Other drivers include the need to boost gender equality—noting that women's representation in elected bodies averages 26%—leveraging digital tools to bridge the digital divide, and enhancing the capacity of local authorities to deliver basic services like housing, water, and healthcare.
