Clarity of Thought. Creativity in Action.

The IISD Climate Change and Energy Team provides research, policy recommendations, and capacity building to help governments, corporations, and communities transition to low-carbon societies and adapt to climate change. The team focuses on the Kyoto Mechanisms, carbon markets, and the development of a post-Kyoto climate regime, while maintaining the Institute's status as a carbon-neutral organization.

• The IISD Climate Change and Energy Team focuses on facilitating the transition to low-carbon economies and assisting organizations, communities, and governments in adapting to the impacts of climate change through physical, economic, and policy assessments.
• IISD possesses expertise in the Kyoto Mechanisms, specifically regarding the greening of investments, the Clean Development Mechanism, domestic emissions trading, and the strengthening of the global carbon market.
• The Institute operates as a carbon-neutral organization and engages in international climate negotiations in cities such as Geneva and New York.
