CoP Nominations for SAC membership

The IAI Science Advisory Committee (SAC) is seeking nominations for two new members to be elected at the June 2015 CoP meeting in Lima, as the terms for Carolina Susana Vera and Harold A Mooney are expiring. The SAC specifies a need for expertise in 'Climate Change' and 'Biodiversity-Ecological Diversity and Ecosystem Valuation', while emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, international project management experience, and geographic, gender, and ethnic balance.

• Two members of the Science Advisory Committee (SAC), Carolina Susana Vera and Harold A Mooney, will have their terms expire in June 2015, necessitating the election of two new qualified scientists.
• The SAC has identified specific gaps in expertise that the new appointments should fill, namely in the areas of Climate Change and Biodiversity-Ecological Diversity and Ecosystem Valuation.
• Nominees are expected to meet high standards of scientific excellence, including possessing a Doctorate or equivalent experience, an extensive publication record, and the ability to manage international scientific projects relevant to the IAI.
