Annual Report 2011-2012

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) outlines its activities plan for July 2011 to June 2012, focusing on the renewal of its training and scientific programs, the establishment of a Centre of Excellence on water security, and the commencement of a MacArthur Foundation-funded project on biodiversity in the Tropical Andes.

• The IAI is renewing its entire training and scientific program for the 2011-2012 period. This includes the conclusion of CRN and Small Grant projects in early 2012 and the implementation of new programs starting in the second half of 2011.

• The IAI Directorate seeks to resolve operational instabilities that have persisted for seven years, citing increased workloads as Directors have balanced research with program management.
