Resilience Knowledge Coalition

The Resilience Knowledge Coalition is a "network of networks" hosted by the Global Resilience Partnership and co-led by SouthSouthNorth/CDKN and ICCCAD/LUCCC. It aims to bridge the gap between existing resilience knowledge and its practical application in policies, plans, and investments, with a specific focus on Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

• The Resilience Knowledge Coalition operates as a "network of networks" designed to connect existing initiatives and fill knowledge gaps to ensure that resilience expertise is used to shape policies, plans, and investments. It focuses on challenges at the intersection of food and water security, disaster resilience, and peace and stability.
• The coalition's operational framework consists of three interrelated functions: Collaborate, Connect, and Apply. 'Collaborate' focuses on peer-to-peer learning and capacity building for its over 400 members from 100 organizations; 'Connect' utilizes agile online platforms and virtual spaces to share and amplify insights; and 'Apply' provides Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) support, incubation, and scaling assistance to translate knowledge into transformative policy action.
• The coalition prioritizes the agency and expertise of the Global South, aiming to move away from top-down, donor-driven models. It specifically targets positive impacts on human wellbeing within Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and emphasizes the inclusion of grassroots organizations.
