End of Year Letter 2025

The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) reports significant growth in 2025, expanding to over 90 partner organizations. Key activities included launching several innovation challenges—such as the RISE Urban Challenge and the TECH 4 Resilience Challenge—and establishing the Mobilising Business for Resilience (MBR) platform with the IFC to address the adaptation finance gap. The GRP also co-managed the Resilience Hub and launched the Climate Resilience Awards for Business with the WBCSD.

• The Global Resilience Partnership has grown from fewer than ten partners in its first year to a community of more than 90 organizations by the end of 2025.
• The GRP launched several targeted innovation challenges in 2025: the RISE Urban Challenge for informal urban contexts (receiving 577 applications and selecting seven grantees), the TECH 4 Resilience Challenge for AI in humanitarian response (receiving 305 applications from 70 countries and selecting eight projects), and continued work on the HKH ICE for the Hindu Kush Himalaya region and the RAIN Challenge for resilient agriculture.
• The GRP co-managed the Resilience Hub, which expanded its presence to Climate Week NYC and London Climate Action Week, and launched a report on 'Resilience Science Must-Knows' during COP30, developed with Future Earth and the Stockholm Resilience Centre using input from over 100 scientists.
• To engage the private sector, the GRP launched the Climate Resilience Awards for Business with the WBCSD and the Mobilising Business for Resilience (MBR) platform with the IFC, the latter of which aims to close the adaptation finance gap by providing tools and partnerships for investors and companies.
