Carbon Market Watch notes that while the CDM Executive Board approved a voluntary tool for describing sustainable development co-benefits in November 2012, there has been no public confirmation as to whether the tool is operational or available for use by project participants in 2013.

• The CDM Executive Board approved a voluntary tool for describing sustainable development co-benefits of CDM project activities and PoAs during its 70th Board meeting in November 2012, following a request from the CMP in decision 8/CMP.7.
• Despite reports that the tool would be available for project participants and coordinating managing entities in 2013, no public information has been released confirming if the tool is operational or available.
