CRAFT is a commercial investment vehicle targeting SMEs with proven climate resilience technologies in both developed and developing countries. It identifies market segments totaling over USD 130 billion in spending and targets investors ranging from development finance institutions to institutional investors. The fund focuses on countries with high climate vulnerability and low investment risk.

• CRAFT is a growth equity fund that invests in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developed and developing countries, including Africa, provided they have proven climate resilience technologies, demonstrated revenue, and market demand.
• The fund has mapped over 700 companies across 20 climate resilience market segments, which represent more than USD 130 billion in current spending.
• CRAFT utilizes a dual-sleeve structure: a developing country sleeve targeting public investors (such as ODA agencies and development banks) for grants and equity, and a target for institutional investors including pension funds and insurance companies.
• Investment targets are selected based on a combination of high climate vulnerability and low investment risk, with the latter assessed via criteria such as currency volatility, lending interest rates, and net DFI as a percentage of GDP.
