CDKN website tender clarification questions

This document provides a set of clarification questions and answers regarding a tender for the development of a new website for the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN).

• The project requires a Drupal-based website for robustness, specifically Drupal 8 as a minimum requirement, though Drupal 9 is also acceptable. Other platforms, including WordPress, will not be considered.
• The total project budget is fixed at R500,000, which must cover the design and build of the platform as well as one year of hosting and maintenance.
• Regarding environmental sustainability, the primary criterion for judging proposals will be the information provided concerning the use of renewable energy for servers.
• All existing website content will be migrated to the new platform, with the exception of specific areas highlighted in the Request for Quotation (RfQ).
• Payments can be made in the supplier's local currency, such as pounds sterling for a UK entity, provided the total remains within the rand budget cap.
