Guidelines for Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in the Health Sector

The guidelines outline a framework for the health sector to conduct vulnerability assessments and integrate climate change mitigation and adaptation (CCMA) into policy and financing at national, local, and community levels, specifically to enhance the resilience of Rwanda's health care delivery system.

• The guidelines provide a flexible framework for the health sector to perform three primary tasks: conducting impact and vulnerability assessments, identifying entry points for climate change mitigation and adaptation (CCMA) integration, and incorporating CCMA options into health policy formulation, financing, implementation, and evaluation across national, local, and community levels.
