The impact of climate change on the achievement of the post-2015 sustainable development goals

This report examines how the outcome of the 2015 climate agreement negotiated at the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP) in Paris will affect the achievement of the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, comparing high-ambition and low-ambition scenarios.

• The climate agreement negotiated at the 21st Conference of the Parties in Paris is expected to have a significant impact on global development by 2030, although it is not expected to significantly alter global warming or the frequency and severity of weather-related disasters before that date.
