The Climate Bonds’ Resilience Taxonomy (CBRT) is a classification system designed to help infrastructure issuers identify and certify investments that enhance climate resilience. It covers over 1,400 investments across seven themes, including health, agri-food, and energy systems. The taxonomy employs a tiered eligibility framework requiring a 'substantial contribution to resilience', 'no maladaptation risk', and 'Do No Significant Harm (DNSH)' to other sustainability goals. Investments are categorized as whitelisted (automatically aligned), subject to technical specifications (binary pass/fail checks), or requiring a process-based approach for flexible placeholders. The guide outlines two primary use cases: developing a project pipeline by filtering for material climate hazards and mapping existing projects to verify eligibility for thematic bonds. Currently in an interim phase, the CBRT is designed for interoperability with the EU Taxonomy, the MDB joint methodology, and the LAC Common Framework.

The Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) established the Social and Sustainability Bond Database (SSBDB) to provide transparency on global social and sustainability debt. The methodology employs a three-step screening process—identification, use of proceeds (UoP) analysis, and SDG mapping—to determine eligibility. To be included, instruments must be self-labelled by the issuer, provide sufficient public disclosure, and not breach minimum climate safeguards. The SSBDB covers social bonds, sustainability bonds, and sustainability-linked bonds (SLBs), with some instruments appearing in both the SSBDB and the Green Bond Database if they meet the requirements of both.

The Climate Bonds Taxonomy is a science-based guide published by the Climate Bonds Initiative to identify assets and projects compatible with a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy aligned with the Paris Agreement's 2-degree Celsius warming target. It provides a 'traffic light' system to categorize assets as automatically compatible (green), potentially compatible (orange), incompatible (red), or requiring further work (grey), serving as the basis for the Climate Bonds Standard certification process.

This background report for the BLASTIC project identifies and classifies land-based sources and pathways of macroplastic marine litter (>25 mm). It emphasizes that approximately 80% of marine litter originates from land, with a particular focus on urban areas. The document proposes a framework for municipalities to map litter sources—such as recreation, general littering, waste treatment, and industrial activities—and their corresponding pathways (human direct dumping, wind, and water) to facilitate the creation of local abatement measures.
