After a Significant Stress Test, the Paris Agreement Stands Strong

• As of January 19, 2021, 71 countries, accounting for 28% of global greenhouse gas emissions, have submitted new or updated national climate targets (NDCs) in anticipation of COP26 in Glasgow, UK, in November 2021.
• More than 50% of global greenhouse gas emissions are currently covered by pledges to achieve net-zero emissions by the middle of the century.
