MASYARAKAT SIPIL MELAYANGKAN SOMASI KEPADA PRESIDEN PRABOWO KARENA TAK KUNJUNG MENETAPKAN STATUS DARURAT BENCANA NASIONAL

A coalition of 115 civil society organizations has issued a legal notice (somasi) to President Prabowo, demanding the immediate declaration of a national disaster status following ecological disasters, including floods and landslides, in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

• The civil society groups demand a national disaster status to enable a comprehensive cross-regional investigation into structural causes and to ensure that those responsible for environmental destruction and governance negligence are legally processed.
• The coalition highlights severe vulnerabilities for women, children, people with disabilities, and the elderly, noting a lack of inclusive health services and reproductive health rights, including inadequate access to clean water, sanitation, and menstrual products in shelters.
