COMPROMISOS CLIMÁTICOS (NDC)

This fact sheet from Transforma provides a statistical overview of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) submitted by June 2026, detailing emission reduction targets for developed countries, G20 members, and Latin American nations relative to global emissions.

• As of June 2026, 140 out of 195 countries party to the Paris Agreement have submitted emission reduction commitments for the year 2035. Within this group, 72 countries included economy-wide targets for 2035, 73 countries strengthened their adaptation measures, and 65 countries aim for net-zero emissions by 2050.
• Developed countries represent 34.27% of global emissions, but the NDCs submitted by this group to date cover approximately 23.09% of global emissions. Specifically, 42 of the 43 developed countries, including those in the G20, have published their climate commitments.
• G20 countries account for 75.05% of global emissions, with NDCs submitted to date representing approximately 63.01% of global emissions. Commitments have been published for 18 of these countries.
• In Latin America, 16 of the 19 countries in the region have published commitments. While the region represents 7.9% of global emissions, the submitted NDCs account for 6.92% of global emissions.
• The withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Agreement has invalidated its previous NDC and increased the gap in limiting temperature to 1.5°C. Consequently, Argentina and the United States are the only two G20 countries without an updated or current NDC.
