• The signatories emphasize that a comprehensive agreement is essential for protecting ocean health, supporting the livelihoods of fisherfolk and their communities, and advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal target 14.6.
• The statement expresses support for the WTO Fisheries Funding Mechanism and expects it to become operational once the Agreement enters into force.
