Transforming Knowledge Management for Climate Action: A Road Map for Accelerated Discovery and Learning

The report advocates for the transformation of information and knowledge management (IKM) to support climate action, specifically targeting donors, knowledge professionals, and data scientists. While focused on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Europe, it proposes that its technological and methodological approaches are applicable globally across various sectors including mitigation and ecological conservation.

• The report identifies three primary target groups to improve climate action: donors who can enable informed decision-making, knowledge professionals and researchers who must collaborate to solve global issues, and data scientists who can use AI and IKM to analyze large datasets.
• The document examines the obstacles preventing the use and adoption of knowledge specifically related to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
