Navigating Food Crises

This report presents seven perspectives from the AgriFoSe2030 project on the food crisis and agricultural interlinkages in East Africa and Southeast Asia, detailing how specific project interventions aim to improve food security and system resilience.

• The report identifies three shared global drivers of food crises across East Africa and Southeast Asia: climate change causing droughts and floods, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting markets and mobility, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which increased transportation and agricultural supply costs, leading to higher food prices.
