Climate risk in a globalized world: empirical findings from supply chains in the Swedish manufacturing sector

An analysis of 14 large export-oriented Swedish businesses reveals that climate change is not a priority risk and lacks operational risk management strategies. The study finds that businesses struggle to link global climate change to operational supply chain risks and are hindered by the resource-intensive nature of assessing complex supply chain structures.

These companies do not perceive a clear causal link between global climate change and specific operational risks within their supply chains.
