SAIIA's G20 theory of change

The document presents a logic model for SAIIA's G20 engagement, linking research on themes such as climate finance and debt sustainability to the goal of more inclusive global governance. By conducting research and engaging with the T20 and T20 Africa, SAIIA aims to increase the awareness of African policymakers and secure the inclusion of African policy inputs in the G20 agenda and T20 Communiqué.

• SAIIA's G20 research themes cover a broad range of economic and environmental issues, including debt sustainability, trade and investment, infrastructure finance, agriculture, international financial architecture reform, biodiversity, the blue economy, climate finance, climate policy and diplomacy, and the just energy transition.
• The programme's intended impact is to foster more inclusive global governance policies within the G20 by incorporating evidence-based policy inputs from the Global South and specifically the African continent.
• SAIIA utilizes a pathway of research, publications, and engagements with the T20 and T20 Africa to achieve proximate outcomes, such as increased awareness among African policymakers, think tanks, and CSOs regarding the G20 process.
