Guide technique sur l’électrification des établissements de santé en milieu rural

This technical guide, produced by the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) with support from ADEME, provides a reference for designing and installing solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems for healthcare facilities in rural sub-Saharan Africa.

• The guide is designed as a practical decision-making tool for the implementation, design, sizing, and installation of solar power systems specifically for healthcare facilities in rural areas. It targets decision-makers, technicians, solar energy service providers, and the beneficiaries of these systems.
• The creation of this guide is part of a broader collaboration between the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) and ADEME to advance the energy transition in sub-Saharan Africa. This collaboration includes two other projects focused on Cameroon, Benin, and Madagascar: a market study and an awareness campaign regarding renewable energy equipment for productive uses.
