Accelerating Delhi's Mobility Transition - RMI

This report describes a Solutions Workshop held in June 2019 as part of the Urban Mobility Lab initiative in Delhi. The initiative, a partnership between the Delhi government (via the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi) and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), aims to design and scale clean, shared, and people-centric mobility solutions to support the city's transition to electric vehicles and reduce vehicular pollution.

• The Delhi government has created a draft electric vehicle (EV) policy intended to increase the adoption of EVs and support efforts to mitigate vehicular pollution.
• The Urban Mobility Lab, led by RMI and announced by NITI Aayog in November 2017, serves as a platform to help Indian cities identify, implement, and scale pilot projects for the movement of people and goods.
• On 26 and 27 June 2019, the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC-D) and RMI conducted a Solutions Workshop with industry and government leaders to design mobility solutions for implementation in Delhi.
