Good Practice Database Summary Report

This executive summary describes the expansion of the Good Practice Database (GPD) by the NewClimate Institute, analyzing 52 new case studies focused on the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for climate mitigation and adaptation.

Additionally, scientific analysis is widely used to support informed decision-making for both adaptation and mitigation.
• Recent trends in climate action cases highlight an increased emphasis on innovation to address complex challenges and a greater focus on transparency, which aligns with the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement. There is also a growing effort to align climate agendas with development goals through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
