Toward Paris Alignment: How the Multilateral Development Banks Can Better Support the Paris Agreement

• To align with climate scenarios that require global CO2 emissions to reach net zero around 2050, MDBs and their shareholders should adopt policies to achieve a zero-emissions energy sector and net-zero CO2 emissions by mid-century, assisting clients in finding renewable alternatives to emission-intensive activities.
