Climate Action Tracker Global Update: Climate Summit Momentum

The Climate Action Tracker estimates global warming by 2100 at 2.4°C, a 0.2°C improvement driven by recent announcements including those from the US Leaders Summit on Climate. • Despite improvements, projected warming remains above the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C limit. The 2030 emissions gap has narrowed by approximately 11-14% (2.6-3.9 GtCO2e), with the largest contributions coming from China, Japan, the EU27, and the US. However, based on currently adopted national policies, the temperature estimate is 2.9°C.
