• The National Reconciliation Commission was launched on September 4, 2012, consisting of 24 members with two representatives from each region. Despite the importance of reconciliation for the SADC-proposed Roadmap, the commission lacked female candidates as of the week of the briefing, partly due to poor promotion of the application process.
