Eastern DRC and the protests in Sudan

This is primarily due to the loss of 80 per cent of its oil wealth following the secession of South Sudan and further production losses in Heglig in April 2012.
• Spontaneous protests erupted in Khartoum and other Sudanese towns in June 2012, triggered by the government's plan to lift fuel subsidies and general austerity measures. The government responded with arrests and censorship of privately-owned newspapers.
