Trade Knowledge Network Brochure

The Trade Knowledge Network (TKN) is an initiative of the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) launched in 1997 to integrate sustainable development into trade policy and practice across national, bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels.

• The Trade Knowledge Network (TKN) aims to build long-term capacity for incorporating sustainable development into trade policy and practice through four primary objectives: producing country- and region-specific research, engaging trade policy-makers, building the capacity of partner organizations via training and research exchanges, and facilitating the global exchange of best practices.
• TKN is coordinated by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and is currently supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Previous funding has been provided by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
