Agriculture and greenhouse gas emissions in Canada

• Agriculture is responsible for 10–12% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions, a volume comparable to the emissions of 27 million passenger vehicles.
• Implementing natural climate solutions in the agricultural sector could reduce Canada's emissions by 37.4 MtCO2e annually by 2030, which is equivalent to removing 8 million passenger vehicles from the road.
