Préparation de rapports de progrès les normes volontaires de durabilité peuvent appuyer les examens nationaux volontaires

• VSS contribute to specific SDG targets through concrete actions: for SDG 2, they promote land rights and soil health; for SDG 6, they focus on water quality and pollution prevention; for SDG 8, they align with ILO Conventions on forced and child labor; for SDG 12, they target hazardous chemicals; and for SDG 15, they emphasize forest conservation and biodiversity.
• Case studies in Uganda, India, and Tanzania demonstrate the practical impact of VSS. In Uganda, Fairtrade International helped over 1,200 women diversify income and obtain land titles. In Tanzania, Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) invested in school infrastructure (11 classrooms, 21 latrines, and a girls' dormitory) and vocational training to reduce child labor.
• IISD proposes five guidelines for governments to leverage VSS for SDG reporting: identifying stakeholder engagement processes, utilizing existing institutional structures for data collection, identifying relevant VSS criteria for specific targets, describing how VSS address data gaps and investments, and selecting national VSS case studies to illustrate best practices.
