Outil d’identification des risques au niveau communautaire – Adaptation et en résumé moyens d’existence

CRiSTAL is a community-level planning tool developed by IUCN, IISD, SEI, and Intercooperation to integrate climate change adaptation and risk reduction into project management. Using a structured four-step analytical process implemented via Microsoft Excel, it helps users assess the impact of climate hazards on local livelihoods and adjust project activities to improve community resilience. Since its 2007 launch, it has been used in over 20 countries, with initial field trials conducted in Mali, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Nicaragua, and Sri Lanka.

• CRiSTAL (Community Risk Identification and Adaptation Tool) is a project management and planning tool designed to help users integrate climate change adaptation and risk reduction into community-level initiatives. It provides an analytical framework to understand how climate hazards affect project areas and local livelihoods, how people respond to these impacts, which livelihood resources are most affected or critical for coping, and how project activities influence the availability of these resources.
