Building Momentum for Adaptation Action: NAP Global Network Progress Report 2018-2019

The NAP Global Network Progress Report 2018-2019 details the network's efforts to scale up climate adaptation in developing countries. It notes that 120 developing countries have launched National Adaptation Plan (NAP) processes and highlights the influence of the Global Commission on Adaptation and the UN Secretary General in prioritizing resilience and adaptation during 2019.

• The NAP Global Network supported developing countries in advancing national adaptation planning and action between December 2018 and November 2019 to ensure adaptation succeeds at scale and over the long term.
• According to UN reports, 120 developing countries have initiated NAP processes as of 2019.
• The year 2019 saw increased political momentum for adaptation, driven by the Global Commission on Adaptation's "Year of Action", the UN Secretary General's priorities for the 2019 Climate Summit, and IPCC special reports on the Ocean and Cryosphere and Climate Change and Land.
