Library of Selected Due Diligence Measures in the Agri-food and Mining Sectors

This workbook provides a systematic analysis of 12 mandatory public policy measures regarding due diligence in the agri-food and mining sectors, mapping their provisions against common themes to promote interoperability and support compliance for businesses and policy-makers.

• The workbook analyzes 12 specific mandatory public policy measures designed to incentivize due diligence practices, including regulations from the US, UK, Japan, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the EU, such as the U.S. Lacey Act, the EU Deforestation-Free Regulation, and the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
• To facilitate interoperability and compliance, the workbook maps the requirements of selected regulations across six common themes: risk management, transparency, traceability, accountability, stakeholder engagement, and legality.
• The analytical framework and identification of relevant regulations are based on the OECD's definition of due diligence and the 2024 OECD Review of G7 Government-led Voluntary and Mandatory Due Diligence Measures for Sustainable Agri-food Supply Chains.
