Tracking Progress on the Integration of Nature-Based Solutions in National Adaptation Plan Processes

The document reports that nature-based solutions (NbS) and ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) are increasingly integrated into national adaptation plans (NAPs), with all reviewed NAPs containing at least one such action.

• There is an increasing trend of integrating the terms nature-based solutions (NbS) and ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) into national adaptation plan (NAP) documents, with every reviewed NAP including at least one action related to NbS or EbA.
• The findings are based on a desk-based review of 57 multi-sector NAP documents submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as of July 31, 2024.
