sNAPshot | Kenya’s Monitoring and Evaluation of Adaptation: Simplified, integrated, multilevel

This briefing describes Kenya's efforts to design a simplified, integrated, and multilevel monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system to track adaptation outcomes as part of its National Adaptation Plan (NAP) process.

• Kenya is adopting a phased approach to create an effective adaptation monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system to address common implementation challenges, such as limited data availability, baseline information gaps, measuring results under uncertainty, and the presence of multiple intervention scales.
• The design of Kenya's adaptation M&E system is guided by the country's priority adaptation actions and its climate change policy context.
