Minutas de la Sexta Reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes

The Sixth Meeting of the IAI Conference of the Parties approved seven resolutions concerning financial administration, budget approval, and an amendment to the Institute's founding agreement regarding voluntary contributions.

• The Conference of the Parties approved the strategic plan, composition, and terms of reference for the Executive Council's Fundraising Working Group.
• The Executive Directorate is authorized to receive and manage donations from scientific, technological, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations to support the Institute's programmatic activities and Scientific Agenda.
• The CoP approved the IAI's Annual Program, the Basic Budget Request for the 1999/2000 fiscal year, and the Financial Statement and Auditor's Report for the 1997/1998 fiscal year.
• The CoP urged member countries to ensure their governments are informed of the Institute's requirements and to make full and timely voluntary contributions to avoid negative impacts on the Basic Budget.
• The parties unanimously approved an amendment to Article XIII, Section 1 of the IAI's Agreement of Creation, establishing that the operating budget will be funded by annual voluntary contributions committed for three-year periods, with a minimum contribution of US$ 5,000 in multiples of US$ 1,000.
