MEMORANDO DE ENTENDIMIENTO

The agreement formalizes the status of the Instituto Humboldt as an Associate of the IAI, focusing on the exchange of scientific data, joint project development, and capacity building in transdisciplinary research and science diplomacy to address climate change and biodiversity loss.

• The partnership aims to improve collaboration in scientific research concerning biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable development specifically within Latin America and the Caribbean.
• The parties have agreed to cooperate across four primary areas: the exchange of scientific findings and technical knowledge on ecosystems and conservation; the development of joint projects involving science, public policy, and diplomacy; the organization of capacity-building programs for transdisciplinary research; and the pursuit of joint funding proposals.
• The agreement is effective for a period of four years starting from October 28, 2024, and can be renewed for an equivalent period through mutual written agreement.
