MINUTAS DE LA REUNION DE LA TASK FORCE

The IAI Task Force met on March 31 and April 1 to reform the IAI newsletter, establishing a new Editorial Board and a budget of $52,800 for 1998/99. The group decided to increase scientific content, integrate the newsletter into the main IAI website, and explore electronic versions through a reader survey in January 1999.

• The Task Force agreed to change the newsletter's content and presentation to include more scientific articles, reports from Principal Investigators (PIs), and reports from IAI-organized workshops.
• A new Editorial Board will be established, consisting of three scientists (two appointed by the SAC and one by the Task Force), the Newsletter Editor, and the IAI Director, with appointments lasting one year.
• The recommended budget for 1998/99 is $52,800, which is lower than the $58,000 approved for 1997/98 due to cost savings in salaries provided by Argentina's contribution.
• The newsletter will transition to a new format starting with the July 1998 issue, and a reader survey will be included in the January 1999 issue to gauge preferences for electronic versus hard copies.
• The Task Force decided against creating a separate homepage for the newsletter, opting instead to incorporate it into the main IAI website.
